This paper introduces a novel approach for assessing the statistical distribution of electrical fields in reverberation chambers, utilizing the Chi-distribution. Our method effectively captures the correlation among electrical field components and examines their isotropic properties by comparing them to theoretically predicted values derived from the distributions. Additionally, we propose a threshold criterion that enables a determination of whether a reverberation chamber can be considered isotropic, characterized by uncorrelated electrical field components, or if stirring needs improvement at specific frequencies. To validate the effectiveness of our method, we apply it to measurement data from two different reverberation chambers. Furthermore, we apply the method to evaluate the field distribution within a cavity located inside a test vehicle within a reverberation chamber, and the outcomes of these investigations are presented in this paper. |
