O presente relatório surge como resultado do estágio curricular em Gestão de Projetos, parte integrante do Mestrado em Gestão da Investigação Clínica (MEGIC). Este, tem como objetivo documentar e apresentar uma reflexão das atividades e aprendizagens adquiridas durante o período de formação na BLUECLINICAL - Investigação e Desenvolvimento em Saúde, Lda., especificamente no departamento de Gestão de Projetos, sob a orientação da Dr.ª Gisela Rocha, Chefe de Gestão de Projetos Clínicos, e da Dr.ª Márcia Silva, Gestora Principal de Projetos Clínicos. O estágio curricular teve a duração de 9 meses, e ocorreu entre o período de 2 de outubro de 2023 até 4 julho de 2024. Durante este período pude contactar com estudos de fase 1 realizados na unidade da Prelada, e com estudos multicêntricos, tendo adquirido diversos conhecimentos, sobre os quais me irei debruçar neste relatório. Falando do relatório propriamente dito, este começa por apresentar uma revisão geral sobre a Investigação Clínica e os princípios básicos de gestão, debruçando-se ainda sobre a proteção de dados na Investigação Clínica, algo que me despertou o interesse durante o estágio, devido à importância crucial que possui, uma vez que grande parte dos dados dos quais a Investigação Clínica depende são de caráter pessoal. Esta curiosidade levou-me a investigar mais detalhadamente as implicações legais e éticas associadas à proteção de dados nos ensaios clínicos tanto a nível europeu, quanto a nível nacional, algo que, se encontra refletido no relatório. Numa segunda fase, é apresentada a instituição de acolhimento e todas as características que a diferenciam e, ainda, a forma como a proteção de dados é abordada na mesma, para além das medidas usadas para assegurar a privacidade. Por fim, são apresentadas de forma detalhada as funções e tarefas realizadas ao longo dos 9 meses de estágio, para além de uma reflexão sobre cada uma, finalizando com uma discussão geral do estágio. |

This report is the result of a curricular internship in Project Management, an integral part of the Master's in Clinical Research Management (MEGIC). Its purpose is to document and present an overview of the activities and lessons learned during the training period at BLUECLINICAL - Health Research and Development, Lda., specifically within the Project Management department, under the supervision of Dr. Gisela Rocha, Head of Clinical Project Management, and Dr. Márcia Silva, Senior Clinical Project Manager. The curricular internship lasted 9 months, from October 2, 2023, to July 4, 2024. During this period, I had the opportunity to engage with Phase 1 studies conducted at the Prelada unit, as well as multicenter studies, gaining significant knowledge, which I will address in this report. As for the report itself, it begins with a general reflection on Clinical Research and basic management principles, with a focus on data protection in Clinical Research, a topic that piqued my interest during the internship due to its crucial importance, as much of the data on which Clinical Research relies is personal in nature. This curiosity led me to investigate in more detail the legal and ethical implications associated with data protection in clinical trials, both at the European and national levels, which is reflected in this report. In the second part, the host institution is presented, highlighting its distinguishing characteristics, as well as how data protection is addressed within the organization, in addition to the measures used to ensure privacy. Finally, the report provides a detailed account of the functions and tasks performed throughout the 9-month internship, accompanied by a reflection on each, concluding with a general discussion of the internship. |
