Description (Translated): |
This project explores the integration of the design thinking process into the technical development of a website aimed at promoting holistic wellness among college students. By merging creative design strategies with technical execution, this study aims to develop a platform that comprehensively supports holistic wellness by addressing four key areas such as nutrition, exercise, sleep, and mental health. The study underscores the significance of the design thinking methodology, which is divided into three distinct phases: Inspire, Ideate, and Implement. The Inspire phase identifies the key benefits of extensive user research conducted through trend analysis, benchmarking, parallel universe analysis, and empathy mapping to understand the challenges and needs of stakeholders. The Ideate phase involved collaborative brainstorming sessions using the nominal group technique, allowing students to generate and prioritize innovative ideas for the website's content and features. The implementation phase developed a functional prototype by integrating user feedback to gain valuable insights. This process informed future website development, ensuring the design aligns with user needs and incorporates innovative ideas. This structured, user-centered approach highlights the effectiveness of design thinking in creating health websites that are both practical and responsive to the needs of young adults in academic settings. Integrating synergies across the various stages of the design thinking process while maintaining focus on the technical aspects of website creation leads to a user friendly and engaging platform. By gathering insights directly from users, designers can create a platform that truly meets the needs and expectations of its audience. The results provide contributions to the evolving landscape where technology and creativity intersect. They offer critical insights for universities and companies looking to leverage user-centered design thinking methodologies and advanced technologies to enhance their processes. |
