A tradução audiovisual é uma das áreas de tradução que mais rapidamente evoluiu na história. As duas principais modalidades deste tipo de tradução, a legendagem e a dobragem, cumprem de forma distinta o seu papel na transmissão dos conteúdos, tendo sido forçadas a acompanhar a evolução tecnológica do meio em que se inserem. Entre as várias avenidas de desenvolvimento possíveis, esta evolução tecnológica apresenta um potencial até agora inexplorado, o uso de ferramentas não convencionais na tradução audiovisual. O presente relatório procurou avaliar este potencial tecnológico recorrendo ao comando DualSense, bem como definir futuras aplicações para esta ferramenta no âmbito da tradução audiovisual. Do mesmo modo, procurou-se explorar a relação entre a atividade da tradução e da dobragem, apresentando uma série de possíveis práticas com a finalidade de facilitar a transição do guião ao ecrã. |

Audiovisual translation is one of history’s fastest growing areas of translation. The two main modalities of this type of translation, subtitling and dubbing, fulfil their own distinct roles in the transmission of their respective contents, having been forced to accompany the evolution of technology in the context they find themselves inserted. Among the various possible avenues of development, this technological evolution presents an untapped source of potential, the use of unconventional tools in audiovisual translation. This report aims to evaluate this technological potential through the use of the DualSense controller, as well as define future applications for this tool in the field of audiovisual translation. Likewise, it seeks to explore the relationship between translation and dubbing, presenting a list of possible practices to adopt in order to facilitate the transition from script to screen. |
