O presente trabalho foca-se no ensino-aprendizagem da fonética e da fonologia do Português Europeu (PE) por alunos chineses, analisando as interferências da língua materna, que é o Mandarim, a fim de contribuir para a melhoria das metodologias no âmbito da competência de produção oral, especialmente na vertente da pronúncia e da entoação da Língua Portuguesa (LP). Com esse objetivo realizou-se uma investigação com alunos chineses que tinham estudado PE sistematicamente durante 16 meses. Estes foram convidados a ler um excerto de um texto de contexto e a fazer uma gravação da sua leitura coma maior clareza. Os resultados obtidos deram-nos a conhecer não apenas os erros fonológicos mais cometidos, como também os desvios fonéticos, causados pela interferência do Mandarim, menos apercebidos quer por alunos, quer por professores no processo da aprendizagem. Este resultado e as teorias linguísticas parecem exigir uma maior inclusão de abordagens didáticas viáveis e de metodologias de exercícios práticos para melhorara capacidade de oralidade dos alunos. |

The present work focuses on the teaching-learning of European Portuguese’s (PE) phonetics and phonology by Chinese students, analyzing the interferences of the mother tongue, which is Mandarin, in order to contribute to the improvement of methodologies within the scope of competence. of oral production, especially in terms of pronunciation and intonation of the Portuguese Language (LP). With this objective, an investigation was carried out with Chinese students who had studied PE systematically for 16 months. They were invited to read an excerpt of a text in context and to record their reading as clearly as possible. The results obtained showed us not only the most common phonological errors, but also the phonetic deviations, caused by Mandarin interference, less noticed either by students or teachers in the learning process. This result and linguistic theories seem to demand a greater inclusion of viabledidactic approaches and of practical exercises methodologies to improve the oral ability of the students.
