الوصف: Children's drawing comes as a strong aspect of the child's way of expression. Drawing is also an important communication and learning tool, it’s important for the child's motor, cognitive and visual development. This dissertation seeks to understand how primary school teachers should monitor and use children's drawings as a tool during their classes. In a case study, carried out in the territory of Leiria. We studied children's drawings and the figure of the teacher to support us in the construction of the interview script and later in the analysis of the responses obtained. From the interviews we were able to conclude that although the formation of the interviewed teachers offers sufficient tools, it still needs to be improved or optimized. The course of classes and their dynamics depend on the teacher and the class and may vary according to the connections and bonds established and the behavioral aspects of the students. There are several ways to explore drawing in the classroom, appearing in a complementary way to the subject, combined with Portuguese in the illustration of texts, the study of sciences for representing animals, mathematics using geometric figures, and in the history of Portugal as a way of representing historical events. It also appears as a playful exercise during festive seasons, and only on rare occasions as a free drawing. Teachers use a wide variety of materials, using many natural or recycled materials, which allows a more diverse and creative plastic exploration, but the same was not reflected in relation to the supports or the space where the activities take place. There isn't much time for drawing as a singular exercise without being combined with other content.
