الوصف: |
In 1933, 47% of all pediatricians in Germany were classified as Jews and thus subject to racial laws. Because of their high percentage, Jewish pediatricians could practice their profession until 1938, when their medical licenses were finally revoked. In 1942 those who had failed to emigrate were deported, and only some survived until 1945. Dwells on the personal stories of two pediatricians: Lucie Adelsberger and Lilli Jahn. Both were deported to Auschwitz, but while Adelsberger survived and then settled in the USA, Jahn perished in 1944. |
