| الوصف: | Aquest treball estudia com, a causa de l'aparició de crisis històriques en l'ordre econòmic i institucional de la nació, la novel·la d'Ana Teresa Torres representa un procés sociopolític pessimista i genera espais de tensió amb la historiografia veneçolana —especialment la decimonònica de vessant romàntic que enarbora un sentit èpic i melodramàtic del passat i aquella del segle XX que interpreta l'esdevenir nacional com una marxa progressiva de canvis positius—, mitjançant l'exposició tant d'una dimensió social marginada com de determinades continuïtats negatives presents en el transcórrer històric del país. This article analyses how, due to the emergence of historical crisis in the nation of both economical and institutional order, Ana Teresa Torres’ novel depicts a pessimist sociopolitical process and creates some tension spaces with Venezuelan historiography—especially one from the 19th century that raises an epic and melodramatic sense of the past and another one from the 20th century that interprets national events as a progressive march of positive changes—, through the exposition of an outcast social dimension and certain negative continuities during the historical elapse of the country. Este trabajo estudia cómo, debido a la aparición de crisis históricas en el orden económico e institucional de la nación, la novela de Ana Teresa Torres representa un proceso sociopolítico pesimista y genera espacios de tensión con la historiografía venezolana —especialmente la decimonónica de vertiente romántica que enarbola un sentido épico y melodramático del pasado y aquella del siglo XX que interpreta el acontecer nacional como una marcha progresiva de cambios positivos—, mediante la exposición tanto de una dimensión social marginada como de ciertas continuidades negativas presentes en el transcurrir histórico del país. |
