الوصف: El presente trabajo pretende llamar la atención sobre una posible coincidencia entre Leyes Hititas (LH) 166/*51 y Código de Manu (MDh) 9.291, que imponen la pena de desmembramiento para el transgresor del antiguo tabú agrario de «sembrar sobre sembrado». La comparación entre ambos textos permite, a la vez, aclarar el contenido de MDh 9.291 y avanzar en el conocimiento de los fundamentos ideológicos de ambos preceptos, enraizados en la sacralización arcaica del cultivo de la tierra.
El present treball pretén cridar l’atenció sobre una possible coincidència entre Lleis Hitites (LH) 166/51 i Codi de Manu (MDh) 9.291, que imposen la pena de desmembrament per al transgressor de l’antic tabú agrari de «sembrar sobre sembrat». La comparació entre tots dos textos permet, alhora, aclarir el contingut de MDh 9.291 i avançar en el coneixement dels fonaments ideològics de tots dos preceptes, arrelats en la sacralització arcaica del cultiu de la terra.
The present work draws attention to a possible coincidence between the Hittite Laws (HL) 166/*51 and the Code of Manu (MDh) 9.291, where the capital punishment of dismemberment is imposed upon the transgressor of the ancient agrarian taboo of «sowing over sown field». The comparison between both texts allows us to explain both the content of MDh 9.291, as well as to increase our knowledge about the ideological foundations of both precepts, rooted in the archaic sacralization of farming.
