| الوصف: | La idea que l’art modern i contemporani beu de les imatges i els repertoris d’èpoques passades és una obvietat. Hieronymus Bosch i Joan Ponç són dos artistes llunyans temporalment però molt propers pel que fa a la producció artística. Bosch, conegut mundialment pels seus personatges escandalosos i les seves escenes irreverents, ha passat a ser considerat un dels genis de la història de l’art. En canvi, Joan Ponç, de qui ens separen no més de quaranta anys, és un dels principals artistes catalans de la segona meitat del segle XX. Les connexions entre els dos creadors són evidents quan es contraposen les seves obres: comparteixen una imaginació desbordant i una consciència torturada per la seva condició humana, i fan del seu propi interior —l’interior de l’home— la base per a la seva pintura, que els permet conferir d’aquesta manera el geni que comparteixen. La iconografia amb què treballen, els símbols i els temes són d’una coincidència eloqüent, i són sorprenents les connexions entre dos genis que van viure en societats i moments històrics tan diferents. L’univers bosquià i l’univers poncià es fonen i s’entrellacen. Es tracta d’esferes artístiques d’un mateix indret, fruit de dos creadors que van saber fer de l’interior personal i els conflictes de l’home la base per a la seva pintura. The idea that modern art has a strong relationship with past periods is obvious. Hieronymus Bosch and Joan Ponç are two artists who are far removed from each other in time, but close if we talk about their art. Bosch is a world famous artist known for his outrageous characters and his irreverent scenes, considered nowadays one of the most important painters of all time. On the other hand, Joan Ponç, who died 40 years ago, is known as one of the most outstanding Spanish artists of the twentieth century. The connections and relations between these artists are obvious when we compare each to the other: they share an amazing imagination and a tortured soul, due to their human condition, and making the inside of the human being part of their art, becoming the most important ingredient. The similarities between them are astonishing. Bosch’s universe and Ponç’s universe came from the same place, a result of two artists who were able to create their paintings based on their personal conflicts. |
