| مستخلص: | The general objective of this article is to analyze the current problems of public security and what measures the government has established to solve them. The type of study used was documentary, since it was carried out based on documentary sources. As a result, it was obtained that due to the high rates of crime and violence, Ecuador has had to carry out different measures to improve the prevention of crime and violence, the protection of citizens and the fight against crime and drug trafficking. However, challenges have been identified in the application of policies and strategies, such as the need to strengthen the training and training of police officers, that is, improve the effectiveness of institutions such as the National Police. El presente artículo tiene como objetivo general analizar los problemas actuales de la seguridad pública y que medidas ha establecido el gobierno para su solución. El tipo de estudio empleado fue el documental, puesto que se realizó fundamentándose en fuentes de carácter documental. Como resultado se obtuvo que debido a los altos índices de delincuencia y violencia, Ecuador ha tenido que llevar a cabo diferentes medidas para mejorar la previsión del crimen y la violencia, la protección de la ciudadanía y la lucha contra la delincuencia y el narcotráfico. Sin embargo, se han identificado desafíos en la aplicación de políticas y estrategias, como la necesidad de fortalecer la formación y capacitación de los policías, es decir, mejorar la eficacia de instituciones como la Policía Nacional. |
