| مستخلص: | Public policies follow a five-stage cycle, including evaluation, which is crucial for making public spending more efficient, fostering democracy and, above all, formulating new policies. The aim of this article is to examine, through bibliometrics, the global scientific production on public policy evaluation, period 1969-2021, based on Elsevier-Scopus. A total of 1,387 documents were analyzed. The results show that the United States, the United Kingdom and Brazil are the main contributors to the literature on the subject. There is a push in Colombia, Ecuador and Brazil to establish agencies dedicated to the evaluation of public policies. Studies were identified in various research areas such as health, environment, social programs, economics, education, technology, security and research and development. The use of qualitative and quantitative approaches was found, with a growing tendency towards the use of mixed techniques. Finally, the importance of bibliometrics in this topic is highlighted. Las políticas públicas siguen un ciclo de cinco etapas incluida la evaluación, que es crucial para eficientizar el gasto público, impulsar la democracia y sobre todo para formular nuevas políticas. El objetivo de este artículo es examinar, a través de la bibliometría, la producción científica global sobre evaluación de políticas públicas, período 1969-2021, con base en Elsevier-Scopus. Se analizaron 1,387 documentos. Los resultados muestran que Estados Unidos, Reino Unido y Brasil contribuyen mayoritariamente a la literatura del tema. Se observa impulso en Colombia, Ecuador y Brasil para establecer agencias dedicadas a la evaluación de políticas públicas. Se identificaron estudios en diversas áreas de investigación como salud, medio ambiente, programas sociales, economía, educación, tecnología, seguridad e investigación y desarrollo. Se encontró utilización de enfoques cualitativos y cuantitativos con tendencia creciente hacia el uso de técnicas mixtas. Finalmente se destaca la importancia de la bibliometría en este tema. |
