| مستخلص: | The application of new, innovative chemical formulations are helping mines to lower costs and reduce their environmental impact. Manufacturers and users of cyanide lixiviant are re-evaluating its use in the minerals industry: Cyanco and Cycladex have established a joint technology development program aimed at the safe and efficient recovery of precious metals, while Cyanoguard and Orica have each developed new cyanide measuring and dosing systems for gold recovery. Solvay is commercialising its next-generation sulphide depressant for copper and molybdenum recovery, which is being successfully used at a large copper operation in North America. The company is also introducing a series of copper solvent extractants, which are in use in South America. Maelgwyn is looking to match reagents used in their Imhoflot flotation technology with the specific conditions of high-energy pneumatic cells as part of a research collaboration with the chemical solutions provider Axis House. Clariant have launched a suite of tailings flotation products for the treatment of slimes and geared towards improving iron ore recovery.
