مستخلص: A solvent extraction system was developed to separate nickel and cobalt from the manganese, magnesium and calcium impurities contained in nickel laterite leach solutions. A synergistic mixture of Versatic 10/LIX63/TBM was used to extract the nickel and cobalt from a synthetic leach solution in a series of batch, semi- and continuous tests. These were used to optimise the operating conditions and to measure extraction and stripping kinetics.
