| مستخلص: | A large scale drilling programme was executed in the Sukinda Valley during 1977. Both dry drilling methods with tungsten carbide bits and water flushed diamond drilling techniques were used, often in close combination. The chromite ores through which the drilling was carried out are friable and occur in soft, incompetent rock containing bands of chert; this made dry drilling difficult and the resulting cores were contaminated. A large scale drilling programme was executed in the Sukinda Valley during 1977.
