| الوصف: | 107 The competitive strategy is always a major topic for a company, a suitable strategy will keep company growing continuously and it will keep the particularity and competitiveness in its industry. The growth background and advantage of each company is different, so the same strategy is not applicable for all companies. The major research topic of this thesis is how to through the systematized tool to figure out the applicable strategy for specific company. S contract manufacture is an ODM/EMS manufacturer, manufacturing wireless module, storage & server, POS system, handheld devices and automotive product. This case study is focus on business unit of Smart Handheld Device of contract manufacture S and the main theme of this research is to explore how the Smart Handheld Business Unit can figure out the long-term competitive strategy for the company itself under the pressure from customers and competitors. Through semi-structured in-depth interview, the study interviewed the managers to understand their internal strengths and weaknesses compare to major competitor, as well as the major threats and potential opportunities of current industry. From the reply of manager, timely reply and ask the deeper question to obtain the prototype of strategy. Through SWOT to analyze these interviews then know the main competitive strategy is using the system on module for smart handheld device. We are also exploring SiP or SOM as a system chip module, and how to define an optimized SOM through a list of functions from different projects. |
