الوصف: | 104 The study aims to explore the effects of English APP(Quizlet)-integrated approach on English learning of vocational high school students and their learning attitudes. A quasi-experiment of nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design was conducted, in which two senior classes of students were divided into an experimental group ( n = 34 ) and a control group ( n = 40 ). The experimental group received APP-integrated English instruction per week for eight weeks, while the control group received traditional lecturing, with both groups’ learning focused on the vocabulary and phrases extracted from the past few years of college entrance examinations of technological and vocational education. Both groups received achievement tests before and after the experiment before one-way ANCOVA analysis was conducted to understand the effects of teaching. An “English Learning Attitude Inventory” was administered on the experimental group before and after the course, a month after the course, and two months after the course. Paired-samples t test followed to understand the immediate and delayed effects of their learning attitudes of the APP-integrated approach. In addition to quantitative analyses, qualitative data such as course feedback and interview were employed to further understand students’ thoughts and reactions. The study comes to the following conclusions: 1. App-integrated English instruction can significantly enhance students’ learning. 2. Immediate effects of App-integrated English instruction are significant in some parts of English Learning Attitude Inventory. 3. Delayed effects of App-integrated English instruction are significant in some parts of English Learning Attitude Inventory. Based on the above results, suggestions are offered for English teachers, authorities concerned, and researchers for reference. |
