| الوصف: | 103 Using the MIDI sources of Bach, Schostakovitch and Chopin's work related to Well-Tempered Clavier, this project explores the alternative key-finding algorithm and the investigates similarities between keys. Along the line of Eerola and Toiviance (2004), we replace K-K profile in the original correlation-based key finding algorithm by the data-based frequency matrix. The empirical results suggests that frequency matrix provides a better and implicative alternative to K-K profile. Implications to the circle of fifth will also be addressed. |
