| الوصف: | 97 Along with the advantages in information technology (IT), teachers try to integrate teaching methods by using IT for many years. However, the advantage of IT is very fast and its application on education needs training and time, it is very important to help teachers to use IT on curriculum design and teaching. This research adapt technology acceptance model (TAM) to study the advantage of IT on teaching. According to the past research, there are many difficulties to teach the geophysical related subjects, such as latitude, longitude, weather, cloud, precipitation…etc. Also students will make some misconception from traditional curriculum. These difficulties could be resolved by using geographic information system (GIS). Google Earth is a new but popular GIS on web world; users can fly to every corner of the planet during mouse clicks. For these reasons, we developed auto-formed teaching materials on Google Earth; teacher can use it on weather related curriculum. Questionnaire survey was made to estimate the advantage of GIS on teaching. Preliminary results indicate that teachers are satisfied on this design, also it shown high acceptance and willingness on using GIS in geophysical related subjects. |
