| الوصف: | 93 The chemical compositions of Agrocybe cylindracea (DC: Fr.) Maire, syn. A. aegerita (Brig.) Singer, a newly cultivated edible mushroom, and Astragali Radix, a traditional Chinese herbal medicine, were analyzed, isolated and purified. Besides analyzing the fruiting bodies at different stages of the development of A. cylindracea, its mycelia grown in a liquid medium were also analyzed for the quality and quantity of their indicator compositions. Results of this analysis will be used as a basis for inducing the production of these active components. In order to distinguish genuine Astragali Radix from its fake substitutes in the Chinese herbal markets, Astragali Radix and its fake substitutes were prepared for paraffin sectioning and powder treatments and their morphological characteristics were compared under a light microscope. The botanical origins of Astragali Radix and its fake substitutes were also determined by the qualification and quantification comparison of their active components. The identification of its botanical origin can be used as a basis for determining the quality of Astragali Radix. |
