The technique of dissolve gas analysis is the most effective analysis method to diagnose the abnormal condition of oil-immersed power transformer at present. The method can be executed without power shutdown and to ensure the equipment security and power supply reliability. But current diagnosis process by periodical sampling cannot obtain the result effectively and timely for the transformer at continuously long-term operation, thus cannot monitor and diagnose instantaneously. Therefore the development of suitable diagnosis model with on-line monitoring can prevent the unexpected and further understand the transformer isolation deterioration after long-term operation. This research applies for the on-line monitor of dissolve gas content and in combination of the advantage of the main analysis methods of Taiwan Power Company transformers troubleshooting procedures, and then develops a rapid and reliable transformers diagnosis model by the fast data process capacity at computer. As the internal abnormal come out with the change of dissolve gas, through the on-line monitor of sampled dissolve gas content, the causes and possible defective parts could be immediately identified and used it as the reference of prevention and repair for transformer maintenance crew. Through the actual abnormal cases of transformers at Taiwan Power Company and using the proposed diagnosis program to test the transformer to make comparison with the analysis result of other diagnosis methods, this diagnosis program at this thesis can diagnose rapidly and accurately. To reduce the transformer shutdown rate by the finding of internal abnormal condition in advance to ensure the operation safety, the application of on-line monitoring and diagnose technique is more important and worthy in further development.
