الوصف: While analyzing the Work-Factor Analysis (WFA) Instrument (Genaidy and Karwowski, 2000a), the multiattribute and the multistage nature of classification system and the weighted nature of questions, sub-categories, and their responses pose unique problems that render the traditional analysis methods less effective. The purpose of this work is: to address those problems; develop an aggregation algorithm that solves this problem efficiently; and develop a compatibility index, called Work Compatibility Index (WCI). The algorithm is based on weighted exponential average. First the whole scheme is presented and then an application example is provided to show its implementation details. The WCI represents the compatibility (or incompatibility) between energy replenishment and expenditure forces (Genaidy and Karwowski, 2000a; Genaidy et al. 2000b) in a work place and is defined in such a way that gives the overall picture of workplace and thus helps the management in decision-making. A full-scale case study and sensitivity analysis are also presented to clarify the developed approach and demonstrate its effectiveness.
