| الوصف: | A 67-year old female with metastatic EGFR mutation positive lung cancer was treated with osimertinib and had a clinical and radiographic response. She developed thrombocytopenia and experienced several embolic events, which subsequently led to the diagnosis of non-bacterial thrombotic endocarditis (NBTE). NBTE is a rare complication of cancer, generally occurring in the setting of uncontrolled malignancy. Treatment involves management of the underlying malignancy, anticoagulation, and supportive care. |
