The article analyzes the selected parameters of work and emissions of toxic exhaust gas components of turbocharged compression ignition engine - PERKINS 1104C-E44T. During testing the engine was powered by diesel fuel and ozonated emulsion. The engine worked according to the load characteristics at a rotational speed of 1400 rpm corresponding to the maximum torque speed. Due to its ozone properties it can be used in the field of internal combustion engines. It has strong oxidizing properties which helps to accelerate the oxidation of fuels. Ozone can initiate the oxidation reaction of the simplest alkane at lower temperatures than oxygen. The addition of ozone to the fuel supplying the engine can improve its performance. On the basis of the results of the test, the calculation of the engine's operating and energy ratios was performed on the following: hourly fuel consumption, unit fuel consumption, efficiency, energy consumption and specific energy consumption. During engine operation, carbon monoxide, HC, HC, NOX and PM were recorded. |
