UK: В статті досліджено теоретичні та прикладні аспекти розвитку туристичної галузі у приморських регіонах зони Степу України. Визначено основні проблеми ефективного функціонування регіона- льного туризму та сформульовано концептуальні засади забезпечення розвитку даного галузевого напрямку. Одними з базових принципів є багатоукладність, диверсифікація та науково обґрунтована організація підприємницької діяльності. EN: Introduction. Under current conditions, it is especially important to ensure the development of the tourism industry as a factor to stimulate the socio-economic development of the regions, attract direct and indirect investments from domestic and foreign sources, etc. For the coastal regions of the steppe zone of Ukraine, the peculiarities of this process are the development of new sectored directions (agrotourism) and the awareness of the need for proper infrastructure and information support as a guarantee of further competitive functioning of the economic entity. The purpose of this article is to develop a conceptual framework for a strategy to ensure the effective functioning of the tourism industry in the coastal regions of the steppe zone of Ukraine. Results. The results of the study proved the need to transform conceptual approaches to state regulation of regional tourism. The basic character of the concept of sustainable development as a methodological basis for the development of a state policy strategy in the field of regional tourism is substantiated. The concept of tourism development in the coastal regions of the steppe zone of Ukraine is formulated; its structural elements, tasks and projected results are defined. Conclusions. The importance of the development of tourist activity in the coastal regions of the steppe zone of Ukraine is substantiated. The necessity to optimize the strategic principles of state policy to ensure the effective functioning of this sectored direction on the principles of multifaceted and diversification has been proved.
