This article investigated the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in basic education, focusing on the continuous training of teachers and the effectiveness of AI in promoting meaningful learning. The main objective was to analyze how AI can be incorporated in Elementary and High School education and what implications it has for teacher training. The research aimed to answer how AI can optimize the educational process and which challenges need to be overcome for its effective implementation. Using a bibliographic research methodology, as described by Cervo and Bervian (2002), the study examined relevant literature, including works by authors such as Semensato, Francelino, and Malta (2015), Giraffa (1998), and Vicari (2021). These sources provided a theoretical basis for exploring the potentials and limitations of AI in education, as well as understanding the importance of continuous teacher training. The analysis revealed that, while AI offers significant opportunities to personalize learning and improve educational outcomes, there are considerable challenges in terms of educators' preparation and adaptation to new technologies. The case study of Darwin School exemplified the practical application of AI, demonstrating how the technology was used to overcome resistance and enhance teacher training. In conclusion, the article highlighted the need for more research on the integration of AI in basic education, emphasizing that continuous teacher training is essential to fully harness the advantages that AI can offer to the educational sector.
