AI promises to revolutionize the way we work by using computer systems to perform tasks that typically require human intelligence, such as learning from experience, reasoning, problem-solving and understanding natural language. The use of AI has raised questions about how to harness its benefits, mitigate its risks, and ensure it aligns with the values and standards in the NASW Code of Ethics. What are the ethics of AI, including issues related to informed consent; managing risks and benefits; and ensuring that AI respects the dignity, worth, diversity, and confidentiality of the people it is serving (Barsky, 2023; NASW, 2021)?
