الوصف: Engineering of Sport 15 - Proceedings from the 15th International Conference on the Engineering of Sport (ISEA 2024) A canoers’ performance analysis encompasses various factors, including the pattern and motion of the paddle underwater and in the air, stroke times, arm joint coordination, and their effects on propulsion. The evolution of mechanical designs in canoeing equipment, encompassing aspects such as blades, hull shape, and paddles, has significantly impacted biomechanical data analysis in this sport. The study aims to use a Digital Acquisition (DAQ) system to analyze the kinematics of the boat together with the paddler’s behavior at each stroke. Therefore, the maximum and the average peak force applied on the paddle, the force impulses, the water time (i.e., the time of the blade in the water), and recovery time will be acquired together with boat kinematic parameters such as velocity yaw pitch and roll.
