| الوصف: | Indonesia needs around 95 thousand tons/year of surfactant, while domestic production capacity is only around 55 thousand tons/year so that as much as 44 thousand tons of surfactant is still imported with specifications to be produced from petroleum. Surfactants have many uses in the industrial world, namely as emulsifiers, wetting agents, and detergents. The surfactants that are widely used today are surfactants that are synthesized from chemical reactions so they are not biodegradable and cause many environmental problems so that the use of biosurfactants can be a solution. Indonesia has a great opportunity to produce environmentally friendly biosurfactants due to the abundant availability of CPO as a substrate, as well as the Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria so that it can reduce the amount of surfactant imports and avoid environmental pollution. The construction of a biosurfactant factory from Pseudomonas aeruginosa using CPO as a substrate can be a positive opportunity for domestic industrial and economic growth. |
