| الوصف: | Driven by curiosity, stirred by a naturalist emotion or by discovery, enchanted and fascinated by observing and understanding the world around them and brimming with inventiveness, the scientist and the artist each perceive the world from their point of view. They comprehend it using their know-how, their tools and their instruments and translate it with their own words and sensitivity.New Caledonian anthropologists Catherine Sabinot and Emmanuel Tjibaou and visual artist Nicolas Molé met to examine the role of traditional knowledge in Oceania in the management of biodiversity, faced with the environmental changes we are currently experiencing.This meeting led to the creation of a digital animation and travelling installation. The latter offers visitors an immersive experience at the Tjibaou Cultural Centre in Noumea since the end of 2022.The project was supported by the IRD* and the IUCN**, and by cultural consultant Henri Gama, which also gave rise to an exhibition and a conference.* IRD (French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development)** IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) ; Poussés par la curiosité, traversés par l’émotion naturaliste ou celle de la découverte, enchantés et fascinés par l’observation et la compréhension de ce qui les entoure, débordant d’inventivité, scientifiques et artistes perçoivent le monde de leur point de vue, l’appréhendent avec leurs savoir-faire, leurs outils et leurs instruments et le traduisent avec leurs mots et leur sensibilité. En Nouvelle-Calédonie, les anthropologues, Catherine Sabinot et Emmanuel Tjibaou ont rencontré l’artiste plasticien, Nicolas Molé autour du rôle des savoirs traditionnels d’Océanie dans la gestion de la biodiversité. Cela dans le contexte des changements environnementaux que nous connaissons actuellement.De cette réunion, sont nées une animation numérique et une exposition itinérante.
