ÖZET Bu çalışmada,Osmanlı İmparatorluğu mimarisinde, önemli bir yere sahip askeri yapılardan “tabyalı tahkimatlar” incelenmiştir. Bu inceleme yapılırken önce Osmanlı savunma sistemleri ile ilgili kısa bir bilgi verilmiş, daha sonra tabya terimi açıklanmıştır. Tabyalı tahkimatın tanıtımı, ortaya çıkışı ve gelişimiyle beraber inşa ediliş amaçları ve Türk topraklarında bulunanOsmanlı Tabyalarınıninşaatı, plan ve mimari özellikleri hakkında genel bir değerlendirme yapılmıştır. ABSTRACT Architectural Bastion Fırtification as a Defence System in The Ottoman Empire In this work,“The Bastion fortifications”important in Ottoman Military architectural were examined. Before this study, it was gived a brief knowledge about defence systems of otoman, then it was explained bastion word. Afterwards, it was made a general analysis about otoman bastion fortification in otoman Empires with introduction of bastion fortification, its birth, its development and the aims of its construction.
