În ultima decadă a secolului al XIX-lea sănătatea locuitorilor din orașul și județul Brăila a fost marcată de efectele pandemiei de holeră și ale altor epidemii specifice perioadei. Articolul de față analizează unele aspecte ale modului în care autoritățile publice și reprezentanții sistemului de sănătate au acționat în timpul valurilor de holeră pentru a limita răspândirea bolii, în special în perioada 1865-1899, deopotrivă pe teren sau în zona spitalelor, în mediul urban dar și în cel rural. ; In the last decades of the 19th century, the health of the inhabitants of the city and county of Brăila was marked by the effects of the cholera pandemic, along with the other epidemics specific to the time. This article deals with some aspects of how public authorities and health system representatives acted during the cholera waves, especially in 1865-1899, both in the field and in the hospital environment, in the city, but also in rural areas, to limit the spread of disease. |
