Language is the most important tool that provides communication between people. There are approximately seven thousand languages belonging to different language families in the world. Although the alphabets and the spelling of the words change in these languages, the ideas, feelings and thoughts that are meant to be expressed do not change and they are expressed with the language. In addition, each language is the transmitter of the unique culture of the nation it belongs to. Accordingly, the vocabulary of each language is the mirror of that language, and the words used in each language are also an indicator of the expressive power of that language.In recent years, Turkey is a state that has made great progress in both political and commercial areas. Accordingly, both Turkish culture and Turkish are curious in the world. For this reason, in order to get to know and learn this culture closely, people; They watch Turkish TV series and listen to Turkish songs. In addition, these people who are interested in Turkish culture apply to institutions and organizations that teach languages to learn Turkish. This situation shows the world's interest in Turkish and this interest is increasing day by day. For this reason, teaching Turkish as a foreign language has become an important field of science.In this research, the frequency of vocabulary elements in the Anatolian Stories series set was determined. Document analysis, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the study. The data were obtained by examining the five books in the Anatolian Stories series prepared by Yunus Emre Institute. In order to determine the frequency of the vocabulary elements in the story books, firstly, the frequency index was prepared, provided that the existing page numbers of the stories were kept constant. Afterwards, the frequency of the words in the storybooks was analyzed and interpreted by comparing them with the word frequency studies conducted in the field.With this study, it is aimed to determine the word frequency ... |
