| الوصف: | Bacterial resistance to antibiotics is one of the greatest challenges facing modern medicine. The emergence and spread of resistant bacteria compromises the effectiveness of available treatments, increasing morbidity and mortality associated with bacterial infections. This study aims to investigate antibiotic prescribing practices and their relationship with the development of bacterial resistance. The research seeks to map the patterns of antimicrobial use, identify the factors that contribute to inappropriate use and assess the impact of this practice on public health. The analysis of the studies in this review showed that bacterial resistance represents a significant challenge for global public health. It is recognized that the main cause identified is the irrational use of antimicrobials, exacerbated by self-medication and inappropriate prescribing. The mechanisms of resistance are diverse and complex, highlighting the urgent need for new therapeutic strategies and effective infection control policies. ; La resistencia bacteriana a los antibióticos es uno de los mayores retos a los que se enfrenta la medicina moderna. La aparición y propagación de bacterias resistentes pone en peligro la eficacia de los tratamientos disponibles y aumenta la morbilidad y mortalidad asociadas a las infecciones bacterianas. Este estudio pretende investigar las prácticas de prescripción de antibióticos y su relación con el desarrollo de resistencia bacteriana. La investigación pretende cartografiar los patrones de uso de antimicrobianos, identificar los factores que contribuyen a un uso inadecuado y evaluar el impacto de esta práctica en la salud pública. Al analizar los estudios de esta revisión, se observó que la resistencia bacteriana representa un reto importante para la salud pública mundial.
