246 ; 248 ; Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) is a very useful tool to characterize and distinguish the electrochemical processes in an electrolysis cell. However, to exclude external influences on the results, a method to pre-evaluate them is suggested and its usefulness is demonstrated by a faster and better fitting of the equivalent circuit model (ECM). In fact, if not considered in the ECM, the inductance artificially increases the ohmic resistance obtained at high frequencies (HFR). This effect increases at higher current densities. |
