الوصف: This study aims to compare the efficiency of the transesterification of castor oil with methanol and ethanol as part of the biodiesel production, using immobilized enzyme Lipozyme IM as catalyst. Different reaction conditions were evaluated and optimized, including the reaction temperature, alcohol-to-oil molar ratio, amount of catalyst, addition of water and use of n-hexane as a solvent.
