The development of shopping tourism is a phenomenon that is attracting more attention of scientists, business and government institutions. The article considers and summarizes the main theoretical approaches to shopping tourism that have been evolving over recent years. The practical symbiosis between tourism and trade is analyzed, which allows to highlight the economic potential that two branches demonstrate in coordinated work, as well as the role of state and local self-government bodies in the strategy of the territories related to shopping tourism development. Recently, shopping tourism has opened new channels of its development in such a way that it became one of the motivations of traveling to a certain tourist destination. |
