| الوصف: | The concept of the living is complex and difficult to understand for pre-school children. This is due to the fact that this concept is built throughout the children education. Very young children present a wrong representation of the world and more particularly of the concept of the living. The introduction of a snail farm, in the pre-school classroom, will help them identify the different characteristics of the living animal: nutrition and reproduction. Working on this breeding will help the students to acquire biological notions but also to develop skills related to a scientific approach (problematic, hypothesis, observation, documentary research .). The aim of this multidisciplinary project is to develop the children's understanding of the living. Teachers should therefore insist on the initial understanding of each pupil in order to buid a coherent sequence. In so doing it will help the young pupils to acquire knowledge being actors in the learning process. In order to develop their understanding, making comparisons with other species, animals and plants, will help them understand that these characteristics are common and can define the living. ; Le vivant est un concept complexe et difficile à appréhender pour des élèves de maternelle, cela s'explique notamment car ce concept se construit tout au long de la scolarité de l'élève. Les très jeunes enfants présentent des représentations erronées du monde qui les entoure et plus particulièrement du concept de vie. L'introduction d'un élevage d'escargot, en classe de maternelle permettra d'identifier les différentes caractéristiques du vivant : la nutrition, la reproduction, et la reproduction. Un travail autour de cet élevage engagera les élèves à acquérir des notions biologiques mais également à développer des compétences liées à une démarche scientifique (problématique, émission d'hypothèse, observation, recherche documentaire.).
