Aware of the effects they have on their environment, economic actors are increasingly integrating the criteria of social responsibility, governance and respect for the environment into their policies. The financial sphere adheres to this transition imposed by the scale of environmental issues and risks. Morocco has included sustainability among the objectives of its new development model, it has integrated participatory finance into its financial landscape, including Takaful insurance operational since 2022. This work focuses on the complementarity of Takaful investment emanating from participatory finance, with socially responsible investment from sustainable finance, and the potential for Morocco. This is done through a literature review, adopting a qualitative approach consisting of documentary analysis based on relevant sources. The literature review carried out indicates that the financial sphere tends to incorporate the objectives of sustainable development, and reveals that sustainable finance in Morocco is favored by the strategic orientation that sustainable development represents, and its consistency with Takaful investment coming from participatory finance, and which will contribute to strengthening sustainable finance in Morocco.
