الوصف: |
Mesijune, Namak and Jahani salt diapirs were studied geologically and speleologically during the three weeks NAMAK 2009 expedition. The expedition team sampled large amounts of liquid and solid samples that were transported to the Czech Republic for the analyzing. Strong rains during the stay on the Jahani diapir enabled a good insight into the salt karst evolution and thus helped to specify our knowledge about the dynamics of the running processes. Discovery and documentation of the Evžen’s Coffee Cave on the Mesijune diapir is one of the most important speleological results. This cave includes one of the largest natural salt domes in Iran and probably also in the world with extent of 70 × 30 × 35 meters (length, width and height). |
