| الوصف: | Citizen insecurity describes the perception of a society in which its inhabitants constantly face the risk of suffering from crimes, which has a negative impact on their thoughts and actions, as well as on the economy and the surrounding environment. An example of this is Ecuador, which has experienced a worrying increase in this problem in recent years, thus affecting the fundamental rights of citizens, where the increase in crime is one of the main factors that contribute to the perception of insecurity, which impacts physical and economic integrity and, above all, encourages violence, thus preventing the enjoyment of a good life, as established by the Magna Carta of Ecuador, where a safe and fair environment is provided, according to the principles of justice. , democracy and sovereignty. ; La inseguridad ciudadana describe la percepción de una sociedad en la que sus habitantes enfrentan constantemente el riesgo de sufrir delitos, lo que repercute negativamente en sus pensamientos y acciones, así como en la economía y el entorno circundante. Ecuador ha experimentado un preocupante aumento de este problema en los últimos años, afectando así los derechos fundamentales de los ciudadanos, donde el aumento de la criminalidad es uno de los principales factores que contribuyen en la percepción de inseguridad. De este modo, el objetivo corresponde a analizar la afectación de la Inseguridad Ciudadana en el ejercicio de los derechos humanos. La metodología consistió en un tipo de investigación descriptiva, con enfoque cualitativo, de diseño no experimental, método deductivo, con aplicación de la técnica de revisión bibliográfica-documental. En este contexto, los hallazgos reflejan un aumento en la percepción de inseguridad debido a crímenes como homicidios, robos y extorsiones, impactando los derechos a la seguridad, libertad y vida.
