| الوصف: | Driven by the controversies surrounding the diagnosis and inclusion of the student, this study aims to investigate the influence of the medical report on the teacher's work in favor of the learning of students in the target audience of special education in the 3rd year of the initial years of elementary school in 2022 at a municipal school in Natal - RN. This is an exploratory research (Gil, 2008), of a qualitative nature (Bodgan; Biklen, 1994). The Classroom teacher and the Multifunctional Resources Room teacher were interviewed. Data collection occurred through semi-structured interviews. The documentary analysis was based on Circular No. 18/2018, Technical Note No. 04/2014/MEC, the Brazilian Inclusion Law (LBI), and the National Policy on Special Education from the Perspective of Inclusive Education (PNEEPEI). In the regular classroom there were 26 students, but only one with a report, despite this, there were 4 of them who had specific learning needs. In the SRM, of the 16 children treated, only 8 presented the report. Furthermore, according to Circular n18/2018, it is necessary to present the report, when registering in advance as well as when registering for AEE. It was evident in the pedagogues' reports that when students present a medical report, the teaching work in relation to the student's learning and development is much more effective and assertive. When the student does not have a diagnosis, he or she is also assisted, however, the results of the pedagogical work will be slower and more difficult. Therefore, regardless of whether or not the student has a medical report, one must seek to carry out work from an inclusive perspective.
