In that sense, we can see the role reflected in the films that show the cultures who produced it and the societies that materialized it based on the representations of their symbolic worlds, so we can know their meanings and their identities. In addition, we can observe what has remained alive in the communities and the reworkings that over time have transformed the Western society in this 21st century. The role of the mother throughout the 20th century was outlined based on various attitudes, behavior patterns, personality and skills that She had to acquire. Once this personification was assumed, an attempt was made to adequately recreate it in both the private and public spheres. ... : En el presente texto se realiza una reflexión respecto a cómo en las producciones fílmicas se refieren construcciones sociales que son posibles de encontrar en las realidades ya sea históricas o en las que son parte de las generaciones vivas. En ese sentido, el análisis de rol es necesario para ver detrás de los filmes a las culturas que lo produjeron y a las sociedades que lo materializaron a partir de la representación de sus mundos simbólicos, de sus sentidos, porque gracias a él se identifican las identidades, se observa lo que se ha mantenido vivo en las colectividades y las reelaboraciones que con el paso del tiempo han transformado a la sociedad occidental de este siglo XXI. El rol de madre de familia a lo largo del siglo XX estuvo delineado a partir de diversas actitudes, patrones de conducta, personalidad y aptitudes que debía adquirir.
