Maģistra darba mērķis bija raksturot Rīgas arhibīskapijas zemes kārtu (domkapitula, zemes padomes, bruņniecības un Rīgas pilsētas) politisko pozīciju attiecībās savā starpā, ar arhibīskapu un ar pārējiem Livonijas politiskās sistēmas elementiem 1556.-1563. gadā. Analizējot kārtu nostāju iepretī trim politikas jautājumiem, tika secināts, ka politisko pozīciju noteica iepriekšējo laikmetu tendences un sekas, bet Livonijas karš vien pastiprināja to izpausmes. Domkapituls tiecās rast iespēju piedalīties Rīgas pilsētas baznīcas pārvaldē vecajā statusā, bruņniecība – panākt lielākas, domkapitulam līdzīgas, politiskās tiesības, bet Rīgas pilsēta nepieļaut domkapitula varas atjaunošanu. Tām bija jāņem vērā sabiedrotie un ietekmējošie faktori, kas ierobežoja to politiku. ; Master’s thesis aim was to charachterise the political position of the estates of the Archbis-hopric of Riga ( cathedral chapter, territorial council, chivalry, and city of Riga) towords one another, the archbishop and the other members of the Livonian political system in the years 1556-1563. The analysis of their political position regarding three political questions shows that the political position was defined and influenced by the tendencies seen in previuous ti-mes which was aggravated by the Livonian war. The cathedral chapter seeked to regain its sta-tus in Riga even through reforms, the chivalery – to gain more political influence, Riga – to secure its autonomy. In order to reach their goals they had to take into the account the cir-cumstances and the politics of the Livonian landlords. In sum it defined their political postion. |
