الوصف: This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of research method used being experiments and employing a true experimental design research design to determine the comparison between the experimental group given REBT counseling intervention and the control group not given REBT counseling. The population in this study were students of class XI IPS at Senior High School 17 Bone who were identified as experiencing social loafing behavior, amounting to 30 people. The sampling technique used simple random sampling, resulting in a sample size of 20 students. The data collection technique used in this study employed questionnaires and observations. Data analysis used parametric statistics through t-test. Based on the research results, it was found that the average social loafing in the experimental group before being given Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) counseling was 91.7, which was categorized as high, while the average score after being given Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) counseling was 55.9, categorized as low, indicating a decrease in students' social loafing behavior. Meanwhile, in the control group, no treatment was given in the form of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) counseling, resulting in an average pretest score of 88.7 and posttest score of 86.5, both categorized as high. Thus, there is a significant difference in students' social loafing behavior between the experimental and control groups.
