This study is framed in segregation studies and socio-spatial differentiation. From this perspective seeks to provide an analysis of the main changes in early twenty-first century in terms of urban socio-spatial segregation in the city of Bahia Blanca. The data source used is for the National Census of Population, Households and Housing 2001. The crossing of the census data will enable detection and demonstrate the spatial configuration of urban segregation for the city of Bahia Blanca. The procedure applied by using principal component will identify and recognize the main socio-spatial differences that may exist from the systematization of census variables. The dimensions and sub -dimensions considered in this work include demographics, education, housing, migration, poverty and occupation. Software will be used REDATAM + SP micro-level data supplemented with statistical software (SPSS). In spatial analysis apply GIS (Arc Gis 9.1) that through overlapping layers of information to interpret the socio-territorial. ; El presente estudio se encuentra enmarcado en los estudios de segregación. Desde esta perspectiva se procura ofrecer un análisis de los principales cambios acontecidos a inicios del siglo XXI en términos de segregación socio-espacial urbana en la ciudad de Bahía Blanca. La fuente de datos utilizada corresponde al Censo Nacional de Población, Hogares y Vivienda del año 2001. La utilización de datos censales posibilitará detectar y evidenciar la configuración espacial de la segregación urbana para la ciudad de Bahía Blanca. El procedimiento aplicado, mediante la utilización la técnica denominada Análisis de componentes principales, permitirá identificar y reconocer las principales diferencias socio-espaciales que puedan existir a partir de la sistematización de variables demográficas, sociales y económicas. Las dimensiones y sub-dimensiones consideradas en el presente trabajo contemplan aspectos demográficos, educativas, vivienda, migración, pobreza y ocupación.
