| الوصف: | This master's study investigates the relationship between the STEAM approach and the teaching of science and mathematics. The main objective is to understand how the implementation of this approach can increase student engagement and enhance performance in scientific and mathematical subjects. This literature review serves as the initial part of the research and highlights 19 relevant dissertations, two theses, and 36 scientific articles. It reveals the need for more Brazilian production on the subject and emphasizes the importance of epistemological deepening in future research. Furthermore, it underscores the significance of interdisciplinarity and advocates for democratizing access to STEAM in public schools, especially those in the outskirts, utilizing reusable and low-cost materials, thereby democratizing the approach. ; Este estudio de maestría investiga la relación entre el enfoque STEAM y la enseñanza de ciencias y matemáticas. El objetivo principal es comprender cómo la implementación de este enfoque puede aumentar la participación de los estudiantes y mejorar el rendimiento en las disciplinas científicas y matemáticas. Esta revisión bibliográfica es parte del inicio de la investigación y destaca 19 tesis, dos disertaciones y 36 artículos científicos relevantes. Revela la necesidad de más producción brasileña sobre el tema y enfatiza la importancia del desarrollo epistemológico en futuras investigaciones. Además, subraya la importancia de la interdisciplinariedad y señala la necesidad de democratizar el acceso a STEAM en las escuelas públicas, especialmente las de la periferia, utilizando materiales reutilizables y de bajo costo, democratizando así el enfoque. ; Este estudo é um recorte de um mais amplo que investiga a relação entre a abordagem: Ciência, Tecnologia, Engenharia, Artes e Matemática, normalmente encontrada como STEAM e o ensino de ciências e matemática.
