The aim of this SIS id to explore intricate clinical scenarios to bridge the gap between bedside observations and bench research in the field of uveitis. This will consist in a case of a patient suffering from macular telangiectasias type 3 (MacTel Type 3). This presentation focuses on the detailed analysis of macrophage‐like cells present on the surface of the retina in the context of MacTel Type 3 progression. Macrophages, known for their pivotal role in immune response and tissue homeostasis, are increasingly recognized as key players in retinal diseases. Through a multidimensional approach, we will scrutinize the dynamic behavior of these cells as the disease advances, aiming to elucidate their involvement in the pathophysiology of MacTel Type 3. This comprehensive analysis not only enhances our understanding of the disease mechanisms but also paves the way for potential therapeutic interventions targeting macrophage‐mediated pathways. |
