الوصف: In this work we show how the variability of visualization methods like textures and glyphs can be used to enhance established methods like topology. A topology-based segmentation (Auer et al., 2011) serves as framework to map textures and place glyph exponents for two dimensional symmetric tensor fields. The textures encode physical properties of the underlying field and support the understanding of the field as a whole, whereas the glyph exponents can be used to give detailed insight at distinctive locations. 1
