The critical introduction is divided into sub-sections, each focusing on different aspects of my poetic endeavor and includes a historical background on the Indian women, my legal experiences, Eastern and Western influences, seminars in formal instruction, and my analysis of my poetry. The crux of the thesis is the dilemma of the modern Indian woman caught between tradition and change. Through my personal experience as an Indian woman and a lawyer, I have attempted to capture this dilemma and in the process, understand myself and the choices I have made. At the end, there is a brief conclusion of the thesis. |
